WOSU Daniel Tiger’s Be My Neighbor Day: A Day of Kindness for Families

Bring the family for a heartwarming day of kindness with Daniel Tiger on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 10 am – noon. 

Daniel Tiger’s Be My Neighbor Day is held at National Veterans Memorial and Museum, and is the perfect way for families to engage in service learning and spread joy.

The event is FREE, but registration is limited and required.

Be My Neighbor Day activities

Participants can participate a variety of activities centered around being a friendly neighbor. Highlights include:

• Create a Kindness Card: Make heartfelt cards for those in need.
• Assemble Care Packages: Help put together thoughtful care packages.
• Coloring Fun: Keep little hands busy with creative coloring.
• Meet and Greet: Have a special moment with beloved characters Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat!

The event is a great opportunity to teach children about kindness and community service in a fun, interactive way.

Donation Drive for Veterans

Families are encouraged to bring donations of hygiene products (NEW toothbrushes, travel-size toothpaste, deodorant, bar soap, and shaving cream) to support the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. These items will go to veterans in need.

When: Saturday, November 9th, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Where: National Veterans Memorial and Museum, 300 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215
Parking: Free parking is available in the museum’s lot via Belle Street. Attendees also receive free entrance to the museum for the day.
Cost: Free, but advance registration is required. Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
