Shepherd’s Corner, a ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Peace, is a 160 acre farm and ecological center in Blacklick, Ohio.
As an Earth-centered leader in Central Ohio, they offer environmental education, reflective experiences on care of creation, and land renewal while providing healthy, naturally grown produce.
In addition to chemical-free gardens, chickens, sheep, a llama, a turf labyrinth, greenhouses, beehives, and a system of walking trails, Shepherd’s Corner offers events throughout the year, like their Maple Syrup Tours, Labyrinth walks, and more.
Labyrinth Walks
Themed labyrinth walks reflect the spirit of each season. Labyrinth walks are times for quiet reflection. Silent walking is encouraged. Everyone is welcome! No previous meditation experience or experience walking labyrinths is required.
Wednesday, February 13: self-led, open 9 am – 3 pm
Friday, March 21: Spring Equinox: March Labyrinth Walk from 7 pm – 8:30 pm, $5
Friday, April 11: Season of Growth: April Labyrinth Walk from 7:00 – 8:30 pm, $5
For Labyrinth parking: The labyrinth is located on Wengert Road. Turn left (west) on Wengert Road, then turn right (north) into the second driveway.
President’s Day at Shepherd’s Corner
Monday February 17, 2025 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Spend the day off at Shepherd’s Corner! Enjoy a scavenger hunt, meeting the animals, and other seasonal activities. Explore the meditation trail & labyrinths, or take a winter walk through the woods at Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center.
Event is free and open to all. Donations appreciated.
Maple Sugaring Program
Learn about maple sugaring from tree sap out the tap, to syrup on your breakfast at a Maple Syrup Tour on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10 a.m. – noon, at Shepherd’s Corner.
Tour the woods, see the boil, and sample of fresh maple syrup.
Registration is required. The fee is $6 per person. The event always fills up, so register early!

They also host small group weekday tours during maple sugaring season. Call for details.
Wetland Earth Day Planting @ Shepherd’s Corner
tba from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm.
Help dig holes and plant 250 native trees and bushes to create a natural screen for their emergency wetland restoration area. This planting is made possible by a Green Funds grant through the Columbus Foundation.
Sign up for the AM slot (9 am – noon) or the PM slot (12:30 pm – 3:30 pm). Ages 15+; minors should be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.
Annual Shepherd’s Corner 5K (Fun Run/Walk)
June tba at 9 am. For eighteen years the Shepherd’s Corner 5K is a fun community driven event for all ages of runners and walkers.
This year’s race will be a FUN run/walk.
Cost: $30 for adults (13 years and up), $15 for those 12 years and under. Register here.

Need a unique gift? Adopt one of the sheep or Maggie the Llama! Adoptions last for one year, and start at $25. You can even meet your adopted animal, and enjoy other benefits at other levels.
