Unique Fitness and Yoga Classes in Columbus: Goat yoga, cave yoga, and more

Not sure if yoga is your thing? There are so many unique yoga classes in Columbus now, that you’re sure to find one that will fit your spirit and make you forget that it’s a workout!  

From yoga with goats and dogs, to in a brewery and more, these easy-going and fun yoga classes are perfect for all levels!

New classes are popping up all over the city and book up fast, so check the links regularly, and follow the Facebook pages below so you don’t miss out on new classes! Bring a water bottle and yoga mat (if you have one) to class, as available equipment may be limited.

Yoga sessions have been popping up at local breweries for the last few years, so follow your favorite breweries on social media so you don’t miss out!  I’ll update the list as I find new options, but these book up fast!

Modo Yoga

Rooftop yoga, brewery yoga…Modo Yoga does it all. Check out the fun options coming up, and see Eventbrite for future dates/locations. Events start at $20 and include a beverage or other fun treat (plus lots of fun). These make for a perfect start to Sunday Funday with friends!

Goat Yoga with Bern Yoga at Harrison Farm

It’s adorable little goats, and yoga. What’s not to love?! I love this yoga class and these goats so much!

Goat Yoga takes place in a grassy field at Harrison Farm in Groveport, where the friendliest of the goat crew are brought out to bring their unique energy into the yoga class. Classes are beginner-friendly, super casual and lots of fun.

Class is followed by coffee and snacks, in addition to the chance to visit with more goats, donkey, chickens, cats, dogs and all amazing animals that live on Harrison Farm.  Tickets are $26 with pre-registration.  Follow Bern Yoga on Facebook for new events.

Goat Yoga at Hidden Acres Legacy Farm

More goat yoga! Goat babies will join you in a yoga practice led by a certified yoga instructor. You interact with the goats, bond with nature, and enjoy a time a restoration on the farm. 

See schedule on Facebook. Please bring your own mat, water bottle, and bug spray. All participants MUST sign a waiver of liability prior to participation.

Yoga with Alpacas

Beginner friendly class taught by Rebekah Shaffer at Heart of a Warrior Farm. LIVE Music will be played during the event by her husband as well. Tickets are $20 on Eventbrite. (also offering a “Painting with the Horses” class on June 30)

Goat Yoga at Gr8ful Acres (Circleville)

Practice yoga in a nice, grassy spot while goats (including adorable baby goats) roam around! Yoga session begins at 10:00am, set up at 9:30 am. There will be additional time after class for more playtime and opportunity for cute yoga/goat photos.

ALL levels & ages friendly yoga class. Bring your own mat and water.

Replenish invites you to enjoy yoga for everyday life. Whether you are a beginner or advanced student this practice will allow you to reset the body, move at a slower pace and experience the practice of relaxation. Program is $10. See calendar for upcoming dates.

Cave Yoga at Olentangy Caverns

Head to the caverns for Ohio’s only Cave Yoga!

Connect to nature inside the cave with an inviting and inspiring class welcome to all levels. This multi-sensory experience will take your yoga practice to a place it has never been, 75 feet underground.

You’ll need to walk down 54 stairs to the cavern, so plan to wear tennis shoes or other sturdy shoes. You can practice barefoot or yoga shoes on your mat. The caverns stay around 55 degrees year round, so for that temperature. Find more details and register on the website.
