TEDxOhioStateUniversity presents main event "Currents"

TEDxOhioStateUniversity is a student-run organization on Ohio State’s campus whose mission is to bring “Ideas Worth Spreading” to the Ohio State and Columbus community.

The organization hosts an annual main event featuring ideas from students, faculty, and alumni of the University. The event consists of critically selected speakers who spread their ideas and innovations through short, yet powerful talks to a vast audience.

The theme for the 2023 TEDxOhioStateUniversity main event is “Currents”

Currents describes the ocean waves that ebb and flow, much like human beings as they progress through life, analyzing its meanings and how we change and grow with our waves of experience.

This theme also alludes to the progression of innovation as we keep up with “current” events, inventions, and contemporary ideas for improving the world around us.

There are 12 amazing speakers and one talented performance group to bring a diverse variety of talent. The ideas they share will provoke those in the audience to appreciate the tides of life and inspire the development of their own profound ideas!

Event details

The event is on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from noon until approximately 4 pm at Ohio State’s Mershon Auditorium. There is an audience gift and light lunch provided at the event.

Tickets are currently on sale for TEDxOhioStateUniversity: Current; $15 for students and $30 for the general public.
