Blossom Scholastic offers programs and camps to get girls interested in science and technology early on, and is hosting the FREE Blossom Hackathon for Girls on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Rev1 Ventures. This beginner friendly event empowers girls to create and build using technology. Participants will learn real tech skills to make and program Thimble robots. They’ll also team up for creative problem solving challenges for the chance to win cool prizes. This hands-on experience provides a fun environment for girls to explore the growing tech field, as well as helping build the problem-solving skills needed for the future!
The program open to girls in 2nd-6th grade and is completely FREE thanks to the sponsors, and will run from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Registration is required and spots are limited (11 left right now). Lunch, drinks, and materials are provided. Parents are allowed to stay, but it’s not required and staff is background checked and CPR/first-aid certified.
