COSI, Columbus’ Dynamic Hands-On Science Center supports our educators and teachers with free admission at COSI!
Teachers get free admission to COSI, and receive a $30 discount on memberships.
COSI is FULL of fun for all ages, featuring classic and traveling exhibits, Live Shows, Little Kidspace, hands’ on activities, and so much more. Members receive a discount on pay exhibits, such as Planetarium, Giant Screen Theater, and Motion Simulator.
COSI hosts lots of fun events throughout the year such as Outdoor Exhibits like Farm Days and Big Machines and COSI Family Friday Night (free for members), as well as events for which members receive a discount such as COSI After Dark, Character Breakfasts, Camps, and more.
Free admission and discounted family memberships are available for certified public/private PreK-12th grade school teachers, teachers at licensed/registered child care and preschool facilities, college/university faculty, and home educators with identification.
In order to receive free admission to COSI, you must present proof of being a certified educator. Acceptable forms of verification include:
(1) Faculty ID (if it just says “staff” you will need another form of proof)
(2) OEA card
(3) Teaching license/certificate
(4) pay stub
(5) letter from your school district indicating intent to home school.
Please note that you must submit verification of your eligibility each time you visit.

You’d want to check with COSI, or check with the links in the article before going. If you have an OEA card or teaching license or certificate, those are definitely enough to get you in, but not sure for certified teacher’s aide.
