Get the kids outside this summer with Columbus Metro Parks. They offer a variety of summer camps and at various metro parks. Registration opens in early March, and spots go fast!
Traditional Day Camps
There are 8 weeks of Traditional Day Camps with different themes at Highbanks, Homestead and Scioto Grove Metro Parks for the entire summer, with select weeks at Blendon Woods Metro Park for K though grade 6.
Traditional day camps are less structured with some free time for outdoor fun. You may register for multiple weeks. Before and after care may be available during sessions to accommodate working parents.
Nature Adventure Camps
There are lots of week-long, age-specific Nature Adventure Camps with Columbus Metro Parks for kids of all ages from 3-15. These camps offer an agenda and lots of structured age-specific activities.
You may register for multiple weeks. Standard camp hours are 8:30a‐4p. Preschool and Kindergarten are half‐day camps with both morning and afternoon options. Before and After Care is not offered in these camps.
GRANDcamp
There’s even a 1/2 day camp for children ages 6-12 to enjoy with a grandparent called GRANDcamp.
Grandparents and their grandchildren will participate in similar activities offered in the Incredible Invertebrates camp and experience lots of fun hands-on activities. Creeking, archery and a cookout will also be provided.
Columbus Metro Parks Summer Camp registration
Franklin County residents can register on or after March 6. Non-Franklin County residents can register on or after March 7. Visit registration page.

Camp scholarships
Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks is committed to providing services, regardless of current financial status. There are camp scholarships available to eligible campers.
To apply for a Camp Scholarship please email naturecamps@metroparks.net to request an application. In addition to completing and returning the application, you will also need to prove eligibility by providing a copy of one of the following:
*A letter from your school district verifying enrollment in the free or reduced price school program for the current school year
*Your current up-to-date Medicaid Health Card
