Head to The Shops at Worthington Place for a day of holiday fun on Saturday, November 24 from 12-7 pm. Sparkle Night at The Shops at Worthington Place features holiday activities, special performances, character meet and greets and the very special arrival of SANTA in a mini parade led by Worthington Kilbourne Marching Band.
Search for the Elves
Kick off the day with a free Elf Hunt from 12:30 – 3:30 pm. Go on a mall wide search for Santa’s little helpers hidden throughout various mall shops. At check-in pick up your clue about locations where they can be found. Make sure you bring your cameras to take #elfselfie. When you finish, you’ll get a clue to find the location of the real life Elf (B—y) for a meet and greet and photo opportunity.
Gingerbread House Making Workshop
Feel like a holiday architect? Build a gingerbread house to take home or enter a contest for a chance to win a $25.00 mall gift card to a shop of your choice. Open to kids and adults from 1 pm – 3 pm. Contest judging is from 4:00 – 6:30 pm. The kit is $15 and includes everything you need. Pay in advance to guarantee reserve your kit. Additional kits will be available the day of the event on a first come first serve basis.
Family Photo Mini Holiday Sessions with Jessica Miller Photography
Need a family photo for this year’s holiday card? Schedule a mini professional photo session with Jessica Miller Photography (thejessicamillerphoto.com) from noon – 4:30 pm. Each session is 10 minutes and includes 10 images with the rights to print for $100.00. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session. Advance Reservation Only. Please add to your cart at check-out and a separate invoice will be sent to you from Jessica Miller Photography to confirm your time slot.
Crafts and Activities at Sparkle Night at the Shops at Worthington Place
Starting at 3 pm, kids can make Christmas ornaments, holiday crafts, write letters to Santa and decorate cookies as they prepare for a special performance by a well known character that tried to steal Christmas. Crafts are free; cookie decorating $1.50 per cookie (pay at event).
At 3:30 pm, enjoy a special performance by a grouchy, cave-dwelling creature who tried to steal Christmas. This up close and personal performance is FREE and perfect for all ages. Mr. Grinchy doesn’t come out of his cave very often and is available for family photos after his performance. Performance is free; family photo with your camera $3 (pay at event.
The Hot Chocolate Bar is open from 4 – 6 pm. Load up a cup of cocoa with your favorite toppings for $1.50 per cup. Santa’s little helpers will be on hand checking to see if you’re being naughty or nice!
Sparkle Night Parade and Tree Lighting at The Shops at Worthington Place
Head outside the east entrance facing Kroger before 5 pm. Line up on the both sides of the sidewalks while The Worthington Kilbourne Marching Band leads the mini parade right up to the grand entrance and announces the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus! The band will lead way to the atrium of the mall where you will be greeted with one of the largest Christmas trees in the city. The Worthington Kilbourne Choir will perform a capella Christmas carols as Santa lights the tree.
Photos with Santa
Once Santa has arrived and lit the tree, kids can meet and take pictures with Santa. Bring your own camera for a quick free photo with Santa until 7 pm.
“Frozen 2” Meet and Greet with the Snow-Queen & Princess
Frozen 2 is released this week, and you can meet and greet The Snow Queen & her sister. Paulette’s Princess Palace is decorated and ready for photos ops. Come see the beautiful new, hand-crafted costumes. $10 per Single Family inside Paulette’s Palace and Productions. Tickets are sold separately. Hourly time slots for registration start at 3 pm until 7 pm.
