Snow Trails slopes are open for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing! Now that it feels like winter, its time to play in the snow!

Located in Mansfield, Ohio, Snow Trails is just a quick trip up Route 71 from Columbus – close enough to drive up in the evening or for a one day trip!

Snow Trails has made lots of improvements to make your experience even better this year! Snow Bucks Gift Cards make GREAT gifts! 

Season passes are available for the 2023-24 season, but they usually sell out early! There are multiple options, including everyday season passes, once-a-week season passes, senior passes, and more.

Kick off Party

The annual Kick-Off Party is Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 at 9 p.m. with The Thirsty Travelers. Tickets are $10. Advanced Ticket purchase is required and can be booked online.

The show will still happen even if the slopes aren’t open yet!

Season Ticket Advanced Bookings & What to Expect

For the 2023/24 season Advanced Bookings are required online for daily Lift Tickets, except for season pass holders. Walk-Ups are unavailable.

Weeknight lift tickets are $52 for ages 12+. Weekend lift and peak day lift tickets are $62. Save $10 on lift tickets after 4 pm! Rental equipment is $37 for kids and $47 for adults. Purchase online or at the ticket window.

Vertical Descent Tubing Park

Opening date for Tubing Park is still TBA.

Not so solid on your feet? Go tubing at their Vertical Descent Tubing Park! Tubing is $32. Snow Tubing is offered every Thursday-Sunday & Peak Days.

Ticket must be reserved in advance. Make reservations and see details about hours, glow tubing, and special events at this link.

The tubing park typically has a later opening day date than the slopes.

Polar Bear Children’s Programs

Snow Trails comprehensive Children’s Ski and Snowboard Program is available Fridays, Weekends and Peak Days this season, starting December 17.

It’s a great way to introduce kids to the sport of skiing and snowboarding between the age of 4 and 9 years old.

The program combines the fun of discovery, the challenge of trying new things and the excitement of mastering new skills, all in a safe environment. Children are led by skilled and fun-loving instructors in outdoor activities, with short warm-up and snack breaks indoors this season.

Reservations are required online by 6 p.m. the day before. Walk-ins are not accepted. The program includes a lift ticket, ski or snowboard equipment rental, snack and instruction.

Celebrate the New Year with a dance party! 21+ Years of Age after 9 pm. Doors open at 7 pm. Shows run until 12:30 am. Cost $20. 

18th Annual Will Tube for Food – January 10, 2024
 “Will Tube For Food” benefits Catalyst Life Services, here in Vertical Descent Tubing Park at Snow Trails! This event will be under the Glow Tubing Led Lights!

Please bring your non-perishable item to donate night of. When making your Required Reservation Online, please select a 2hr Tubing Ticket for Wednesday, January 10th between 5PM and 9PM for this special benefit.

MLK Extended Hours: Friday, January 12 – Monday, January 15, 2024
Make it a four day weekend at Snow Trails for MLK Jr Day! The Slopes and Tubing Park will offer extended hours.

Mid-Season Party… with Swagg! and fireworks- Saturday, January 27, 2024
21+ Years of Age after 9 pm. Shows run until 12:30 am. Cost $20.
Have fun hanging-out on-snow while freestyle skiers and snowboarders session a one-off Terrain Park Feature built specifically for this event. Snowbartenders slinging adult beverage at the custom Snow Bar, as the Outdoor DJ keeps the vibe lively in our Party Plaza! Burn barrels close-by to warm you up and keep you going longer in this Party atmosphere! A Fireworks Show will begin at 9:30PM, just after the slopes close at 9:00PM. Details.

Presidents Day Extended Hours: Friday, February 16 – Monday, February 19, 2024
Make it a four day weekend at Snow Trails for President’s Day! The Slopes and Tubing Park will offer extended hours.

Annual Ski Carnival – February 24-25, 2024
63rd Annual Ski Carnival is a two day event weekend on Saturday, February 24th and Sunday, February 25th. There is something for everyone, from the Kids Challenge, to the famous Bikini and Chippendale Slalom Races, plus the Couples Fun Race, Giant Slalom Race, and Guest Costume Contest. Our ever popular Cardboard Creation Race will take place in the Tubing Park as the final event of the weekend.

About Snow Trails: 

Snow Trails, which was the first commercial ski area in Ohio, is a privately-owned resort, under the same management since inception.

The resort features six chairlifts, including a slow-moving Beginner’s Double Chairlift and two ski carpets dedicated to the Beginner’s Area. A third carpet lift is utilized for the Snow Tubing Park with the “Longest Tubing Lanes in Ohio.”

The Resort offers 19 total trails and is known for Timberline trail – “Longest Trail in Ohio.” There are three glade areas, plus five Terrain Parks. A 9,000 sq. ft. Rental Center houses user-friendly equipment and offers a self-service system.

Snow Trails typically opens in early December and the season lasts into March. The resort is located off Interstate 71 south of Mansfield on Possum Run Road.
