Located in downtown Columbus, the Ohio Arts Council Riffe Gallery showcases the work of Ohio’s artists and the collections of the state’s museums and galleries. Get inspired by the art of our great state! Admission is always free and the exhibits change quarterly, so stop back regularly.
The latest exhibition is OHIO: The Start of it All, which will be displayed from July 27 – October 14, 2017. Kids and adults will both be delighted with the children’s book illustrations related to the great state of Ohio based on people, places, inventions, and more. Curated by Dan Chudzinski of the University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum, the exhibition features 60 original children’s book illustrations from the museum. The University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum is the most diverse collection of original artwork by children’s book illustrators in the world. The museum’s goal is to promote literacy and enrich the lives of all people through the art of picture books.
There are special events scheduled and daily hands-on activity for children and adults to enjoy, so it’s a great way to escape with art for a few hours.
