- Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017: Apple Fest from 10am – 5pm. Just an old-fashioned day at the orchard. Horse-drawn wagon rides, pony rides, a wonderful petting farm, corn bin play area, train rides, pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, hay maze, hay field hike, caramel apple bar, apple pies, old time music throughout the day! - September 16-17: Apple Harvest Open House – Horse-drawn wagon rides, apple butter making, pick your own apples, food, face painting, apple and cider tasting, make-your-own scarecrows, round bale romp, mini maze and more. We will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday and go until 6:00 that evening and then again on Sunday from noon until 6:00.
Admission is free but there is a parking charge of $8.00, with the proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity. So load up the family and come on out for a relaxing and enjoyable day on the farm.

37 varieties of apples, 26 varieties of peaches, 3 varieties of pears, and pumpkins. Wagons are provided and tasting is encouraged! Pumpkin patch is a good walk away from the market, so make sure you grab a wagon. This is one of my favorite orchards to visit and it’s never too busy. Â The grounds are beautiful, so enjoy the scenery while you’re there.
deMonye’s Greenhouse, 2500 Airport Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43219, (614) 252-6046 – Haunted Greenhouse, Sept. 30 – Oct 31. Bring your little ghost and goblins to our haunted greenhouse. Kid friendly haunted maze (up to 12 years old) is fall fun for the whole family. Cost $8.00 per child, $2 per adult.
Dupler’s Pumpkin Land, 5766 Jacksontown Rd, Newark, OH 43056, (740) 323-2514 – This isn’t located at the farm, but it’s great! They sell a variety of pumpkins, squash, Indian corn, straw bales, mums for fall decorating. Farm activities include giant slides, straw maze, haunted room and goats and bunnies to visit (animals by late September). Free admission and parking. $1 hand stamp available for access to straw maze, giant slide and haunted room. Opens on September 15; Weekday hours are 12:00 to 7:00, weekend hours 10:00 to 7:00 pending weather.
Harvest Adventures, 1135 Locust Grove Rd. N.E., Bremen (740-569-4997): Open 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. weekends with corn maze ($3), hayrides ($3). October 1 – craft weekend. Sell pumpkins, mums, straw, and ornamental corn/corn stalks. Opens: September 16

McDonald’s Greenhouse Corn Maze and Fall Farm Fun, 3220 Adamsville Rd., Zanesville (740-452-4858): corn maze, petting zoo, pumpkin carving, slides, enchanted forest walk, hayrides, kangaroo jumper, giant corn box. Admission $6, or free for age 2 and younger. Opens: September 16; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 12 to 6 p.m Sundays through October; Thursdays and Fridays in October 4-7 pm.
- Saturday, September 16:Â Farm City Day at McDonald’s Greenhouse & Corn Maze: This year’s theme is “Pumpkins, Squash and Gourds. OH MY!” and will feature Gus the Squashcarver, pumpkin tasting samples, contests, barrel wagon rides, scavenger hunt, story time, and much more. That’s all FREE! Â Then, for only $3 you can also enjoy the corn maze, petting zoo, yard games, and enchanted forest. That is 1/2 price – all day!
- Sunday, September 17: Grandparents Day at the Farm –Â September celebrates Grandparent’s Day! What better way to celebrate than bringing your grandparents to the farm! Grandparents get in FREE with a paying child! Wear those grandparents out! Then, nap time for all!
- Friday, September 22 and Saturday September 23: First Responders Day at the Farm – First Responders are welcome to the farm for FREE Friday and Saturday to say THANK YOU for keeping our communities safe! Get out and enjoy some fresh air!
- Friday, September 29 and Saturday September 30: Veteran’s Day at the Farm –Â Active military and veterans have earned free admission to the “God Bless the USA” patriotic themed corn maze! Come out to the farm and enjoy! Thank you for your service!

- September 16th & 17th, 2017: Annual Wool Gathering – Join us for an awesome festival of fibers at the 22nd Wool Gathering at Young’s September 16 & 17. Observe sheep, llamas, alpacas, cashmere goats, Angora rabbits and other wool-bearing animals at the show. There will be shearing demonstrations, wool spinning, weaving and much more to see and learn. There are over 100 vendors from several surrounding states and as far away as Arizona here for you to enjoy. Admission to this event is free – bring the whole family! Hours will be 10am to 7pm Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
- September 23 from 10am-3pm: Bob Pool “Orphan” Car Show – The show will feature cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles and specialty vehicles from Independent Manufacturers that are no longer in business and “Big Three Orphans” such as Edsel, DeSoto, Corvair, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, etc. Every American and Foreign make from Auburn to Yugo are welcome to attend and be displayed.
