Bring the family downtown on Thursday, December 5, 2024 for the Ohio Statehouse Tree Lighting and Holiday Festival, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Capitol Square complex.
The free, family-friendly holiday festival kicks off with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus at the Ohio Statehouse.
The historically-decorated Statehouse Tree will be lit between 5:30-5:45, and the holiday celebration continues inside.
Enjoy cookies, activities, historical characters and mascots, and special performances from local choirs and dance studios. Get photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus in front of the Statehouse Tree.
The Statehouse gift shop is full of Ohio-themed and Ohio-made holidays gifts, so make sure to do some Christmas shopping while you’re there!
If you don’t make it down for the event, stop back throughout the season to see the beautiful lights at the Ohio Statehouse, Columbus Commons, Scioto Mile, and Christmas Corner – all in Downtown Columbus.

I’m not affiliated with the event, but I believe they have the performances scheduled months in advanced.
