Celebrate America’s favorite pastime with one of the nation’s largest Vintage Base Ball festivals on August 31 – September 1, 2024 at the Ohio Cup Vintage Base Ball Festival at Ohio History Center 17th Avenue fields.
See over 25 vintage base ball teams from across the nation compete by 19th-century rules.
This year, all games will take place on the four 17th Avenue fields from Saturday, Aug. 31, and Sunday, Sept. 1, with games beginning at 9 a.m. each day. No games will be played in Ohio Village because it is closing after Aug. 4 for an almost two-year renovation project.
The final game each day will start at 4 p.m.; each game lasts roughly an hour. Spectators may watch the games for free on the 17th Avenue fields, and guests should bring lawn chairs or camp chairs for seating. Food trucks also will be available.
The Ohio Cup is a family-friendly event, with food trucks and various activities and crafts. Children are invited to hit and play catch with Muffins players.
Guests will learn the early roots of the game of baseball and see teams play with vintage uniforms and equipment.
