Oakland Nursery Holiday Season and Santa visits

Oakland Nursery locations around Columbus are a must-visit tradition during the Holiday season.

From visits with Santa, live music, reindeer, carriage rides, and all of the beauty of Christmas, it’s a great stop to get in the spirit of the season. 

Oakland Nursery always has an amazing set-up for Santa, and they allow you to take your time and your own photos with visits with Santa.

It’s also a great place to pick out your Christmas tree and decorations. Many tree farms have a shortage of taller trees during the last couple of holiday seasons, but Oakland usually offers a generous selection of tall trees.

We’ve always been happy with our tree when we’ve purchased it at Oakland Nursery (even the time when it fell over in the middle of the night – totally our fault!).

While they’ve offered Breakfast with Santa pre-2020, it doesn’t appear to be on the schedule for 2022 again. But when it returns, we highly recommend that option!

Dispatch Holiday Indoor Decorating Contest

November 7 – December 3, 2024
Do you go ALL OUT with your indoor holiday decorations? Enter The Dispatch & Oakland Nurseries Holiday Indoor Decorating Contest. Columbus residents can submit photos of their indoor decorations for the chance to win a $500 Oakland Nursery Gift Card!

Photos must be submitted by December 3rd, and will be featured in the online gallery on the Columbus Dispatch contest page. A panel of judges from Oakland and the Columbus Dispatch will determine the winning photo.

Judging and winner announcement will occur in mid-December. Details here.

Live music is back this year with the New Albany High School Music Department! Enjoy listening to the High School Choir on Sundays, December 1st and 8th from 2-3 pm.
