The Triangle–the area of North Carolina anchored by Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill–is a thriving, growing region. Boasting three major universities, the University of North Carolina, Duke University and N.C. State University, it’s home to countless cultural, entertainment, arts and sports events. A new site, Triangle on the Cheap, is gathering all the free and cheap events, to make it easier for students, professionals and families to find fun things to do on a budget. Especially for students: there will be a special focus on food freebies and deals.
Since Raleigh is the state capital, many museums are free, but Triangle on the Cheap goes beyond just listing those museums. It showcases the free special events at those museums, and also digs out the free days at other museums. You’ll find free opportunities to hear, and sometimes play, music in instrument stores, shopping malls, record stores and parks, as well as in music venues that normally hold ticketed events. Cultural festivals abound in the Triangle too.
Triangle on the Cheap is published by Jody Mace, who has published the popular Charlotte on the Cheap for seven years.
Whether you live in North Carolina, are planning a visit, or just want to see what it has to offer, check out the free and cheap things to do in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill now.
