The New Albany Symphony Orchestra brings live music to the community through a variety of concerts and events each season.
In addition to free outdoor concerts, ticketed events, and inclusive events, they have continued to make symphony music safe and accessible to kids and adults.
Summer in Italy

Viva Italia! It’s a night of Italian favorites at the Hinson Amphitheater with Maestro Luis Biava, guest soloists and our very own New Albany Symphony Chorus. Bask in the beauty of a summer night with the symphony.
Lawn seating is general admission – $30 for adults and $25 for students and seniors.
Reserved tables of 8 are $400 and individual table seats are $55. You are welcome to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages. Wine, beer, and hard seltzer will be available for purchase that evening. Details coming soon.

Candlelight Concert

Enjoy an evening of soft candlelight and harmonious sounds in the beautiful sanctuary of the New Albany United Methodist Church as the New Albany Symphony Chorus is joined by our string section for Bach’s Cantata No. 4 and works by Mozart, Piazzolla and Biava Ramponi.

The lights of Broadway shine bright this September at the Hinson Amphitheater! Phantom of the Opera stars Lisa Vroman and Doug LaBrecque join the New Albany Symphony and Maestro Luis Biava for this one-night-only performance. General admission lawn seats are are $30 to $40.

Choral Fantasy

Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy for piano, vocal soloists, mixed chorus, and orchestra was a precursor to his famous Symphony No. 9. Delight in the familiar motifs and melodies as guest pianist Suzanne Newcomb takes us on a sublime journey, and be inspired by the winners of our student concerto competition. Tickets $10-$25
New Albany Symphony Sensory-Friendly Series
Saturday at the Symphony Sensory Friendly concerts are designed for those on the autism spectrum, our friends in the dementia/Alzheimer’s community, or for those audience members needing a more relaxed concert experience.
Performances are never longer than an hour and include pre-concert lobby activities when possible.
During these concerts, audience members can move around, talk and BYO reinforcements and motivational systems. House lights will be turned on but dimmed, and “chill-out” zones, will be available in the lobby for those needing a break.

Student Concerto Competition
January 25, 2025
Graves Piano Recital Hall, 5298 Karl Road in Columbus.
The competition is open to all Ohio students. Entrants are divided into categories by age at the time of audition: Junior Division, high school students and younger; and Senior Division, full-time undergraduate students age 24 and younger.
Division winners will receive a $300 cash prize and will perform with the New Albany Symphony Orchestra at the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts.
Applications are $50 and must be submitted online by January 3, 2025. Details and application here.
