Move over Snow Angel Challenge…it’s time to plunge! Kick off February with a splash for Special Olympics Ohio with the New Albany Polar Plunge!
The New Albany Police Department is hosting one of the 14 statewide Polar Plunges with the The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics. These Polar Plunge fundraisers raise over $1 million annually for Special Olympics Ohio to support the mission of promoting inclusion and empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports, health, and leadership programs.
Join the New Albany Police Department team at the 2nd Annual Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at New Albany High School Eagle Stadium. The fun starts at 11 a.m. with a costume contest, so dress to impress! Then, take a 20-foot water slide into an icy pool—all for a great cause.
We think the inflatable slide is a super fun twist on a Polar Plunge!
Want to participate? Click here to donate and/or join the New Albany Special Olympics “Plunge My Way” team. When you fundraise as part of this team, 80% of the money you raise will directly benefit New Albany Special Olympics programs.
You must register by January 29 to take the plunge. Donations are accepted through February 1, even if you can’t attend the event.
Don’t miss this chance to have some frosty fun while making a difference in the community!
