National Night Out events around Columbus

National Night Out serves to promote safer communities by bringing together neighbors, police, and firefighters, and is celebrated the first Tuesday of August.

Many of the events feature free food, live music, and other fun features. Kids will get to interact with, and watch demonstrations by police officers and firefighters. See more details here.

Bexley National Night Out

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Commonwealth Park
National Night Out is a free community event hosted by the Bexley Police Department. This fantastic event will include free food, fun activities for the whole family, and best of all, the chance to spend time getting to know Bexley’s amazing police officers.  Details here. 

Blacklick National Night Out

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6-8pm at Cedar Run Park
Visits from local law enforcement, the Red Cross, food, carnival games, a bounce house, and so much more! Stick around afterwards for Movie Night, featuring Mulan! Details here. 

Gahanna National Night Out 

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Sunpoint Park (670 McCutcheon Road)
Activities will include displays of Gahanna Division of Police SWAT, patrol vehicles and equipment. Members of the Division will be available to meet with members of the community. Gahanna PD bike officers will have an obstacle course set up. See details here. 

Marysville National Night Out

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Greenwood Park. Aimed to promote between law enforcement and the community.

The Salem Civic Association (SCA) National Night out

Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 6-8pm at Chaseland Park (954 Joos Ave. Columbus). Bring your family and leashed pets for games, snacks and treats for your 4-legged friend.

Annual National Night Out in Upper Arlington

Westerville National Night Out

Participating neighborhoods host block parties with activities including potlucks, karaoke, face painting, raffles, police car rides and an appearance from Scruff McGruff. Details here. 

Hilliard National Night Out

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Lakewood Park 

A police K9, kids’ games, dunk tank, cruiser displays, food and prizes, and fire engine tours will be just part of the fun when the City of Hilliard Division of Police hosts the community for the annual National Night Out

• K9 Max and handler Officer Schweickart will give a demonstration at 6:30 p.m.
• Learn about programs and services offered by the Division, such as vacation house checks, bicycle registration, women’s self defense classes, and the nationally renowned Citizen’s Police Academy program.
• Dunk a Hilliard police officer for a great cause! The Hilliard Bobcats Special Olympics team will be volunteering at the dunk tank.
• The Norwich Township Fire Department will give tours of its fire engine and medic, as well as offer the chance to spray a fire hose. A bounce house also will be available for children, courtesy of the department.
• The evening will end with raffles for bicycles and other fun prizes, courtesy of Target. Free food and treats also will be available.

Meet your Whitehall law enforcement and emergency service providers while joining together with your neighbors to stand up to crime!

Genoa Township National Night Out

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 5 pm – 8 pm at McNamara Park (7049 Big Walnut Road)

The event features free food, music, games, therapy K-9’s, a bounce house, touch-a-truck experience and officer meet and greet. An epic water balloon fight between cops and kids takes place at the end of the event. See details here.

Clinton Estates National Night Out

Tuesday, August 6, 2024 starting at 6pm at Trinity United Church of Christ (1180 Shanley Dr.).  This event will not only be used to promote safety in the neighborhood but hopefully also will recruit new families and residents to become involved with CECA. 

Music from Andy Shaw, face painting, balloons, as well as COSI. Clinton Estates Civic Association will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. Those attending are asked to bring their own chairs and a side dish and/or dessert to share. 

Clinton Estates is the area between Maize Rd and Karl Rd on the East/West, and Cooke Rd and Morse Rd on the North/South. 

Grove City
