National Bagel Day is January 15! Make plans for a bagel breakfast, lunch, or dinner to honor the doughy delight. 

Bagels are thought to have originated from Poland – called the obwarzanek, which was a thin, boiled, then baked ring of dough. In the 1800’s, Bagels arrives in New York with immigration, and spread throughout the country in the mid 20th-century with mass production.

But any New Yorker (or those from that region) will tell people from other states that they’ve never had a REAL bagel if they haven’t had a New York bagel. 

How can you celebrate with a bagel? While us Ohioans probably won’t get to NY to enjoy a “real” bagel for National Bagel Day, there are some deals we can enjoy locally. There don’t seem to be many great deals for this bagel celebration, but here are some places to grab a bagel.
