Blue Star Museums: Military families get free museum admission across U.S.

Blue Star Museums offers free museum admission to more than 2,000 museums across America for active duty service members and families.

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America.

The program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 2024 and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024.

The free museum admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military. This includes Active Duty, Reservists, National Guardsman, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to 5 family members.

Qualified members must show a military ID. The active duty member does not have to be present if dependent family member has a qualified ID. See details here.
