Marmon Valley Farm Harvest Round-Up Days and Country Christmas

Enjoy fun on the farm at Marmon Valley Farm in Zanesfield, Ohio. Located just 35 minutes northwest of Dublin, the farm is a great place to spend a couple of hours with kids.

Enjoy a hayride or trail ride through the scenic hills Logan County, play in the Play Barn, visit the animals, and try out the rope bridge. 

You’ll find gentle farm animals and cuddly barn cats, plus 150 horses and ponies. The Playbarn features a playground styled after a big red bar. Kids will love the twisty silo slide and John Deere Tractor to climb on while they explore.

The Farm specializes in trail rides through the wooded hills and ravines surrounding their many barns and animal pens. Visitors ages 6 and up can go on scenic trail rides with experiences guide trails. Younger kids can enjoy pony rides in the riding arena.  

Horseback Rides Marmon Valley Farm

With over 150 well-trained horses and ponies, horseback riding is their specialty! For over 50 years Marmon Valley Farm has been providing safe horseback riding experiences for guests of all ages. The riding stable is open year-round Tuesday through Sunday.

Contact the office at 937-593-8000 to schedule; reservations ARE required. All horseback riders should wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Helmet rental is available free of charge.

Country Christmas at Marmon Valley Farm

Head to the farm for a Country Christmas at Marmon Valley Farm. Country Christmas celebrates the Christmas spirit and tells the story of the birth if Jesus.

The unique hayride tour takes you through Mary and Joseph travels to Bethlehem in search of an inn; and when lonely shepherds receive the good news of the birth of Christ, their long awaited Messiah. Experience the manger first hand, complete with live animals.

The wagon tour is a 45 minute production that includes five mini dramas depicting events recorded in the Bible about the birth of Christ. Warm up afterwards with cookies and hot chocolate as you enjoy live music and activities. Children will also enjoy petting animals and pony rides. 

Tours leave every 15 minutes beginning at 6:30pm on Fridays, 5:00pm on Saturdays, and 5:00pm on Sunday. Walk-ins will be accommodated if there are openings on scheduled tours. To guarantee your spot, call ahead to reserve tickets. 

Country Christmas admission

All ticket sales are non-refundable. The wagons are covered to provide some protection from rain or snow, so they will typically run in all weather conditions. 

Cost: Advanced Sales: $14/person. Advanced Sales close at 12pm the day of the event. Tickets purchased after that time or at the door are $16/ person, if available.

Families can also enjoy the fresh air of the scenic countryside, as well as hayrides and miniature golf. You can swim in the pond and go paddle boating.

Pony rides for ages 11 and under are included in the admission price; Trail rides will be an additional cost as seen below. Visit dozens of farm animals and stop by the Play Barn. The gift shop is a must see for horse and animal lovers and souvenir seekers.
