Naughty or nice, it’s time for kids to write their Letters to Santa! There are drop-off locations for Santa’s Mailbox around Columbus that will be sent to the North Pole for Santa to read.
It’s a great way to get kids excited about the holiday season and to make sure they stay on the ‘good’ list!
Please see individual drop-off details if you wish to get a letter back from Santa. Some of the options will provide a return letter, while others do not.

Where to send Letters to Santa in Columbus
Santa Letters in Worthington
WHERE: North entrance of the Griswold Center, 777 High Street.
WHEN: November 20-December 15, 2024
HOW: Drop off letters to Santa in the mailbox. Make sure to include a return address in order to receive a response. It’s free!
Letters to Santa at Ohio Railway Museum
WHERE: Ohio Railway Museum, 990 Proprietors Road, Worthington
WHEN: December 1, 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 2024
HOW: Write your letter to Santa Claus and see the museum decorated for Christmas, and make ornaments and crafts along with coloring pages in car #5060. Visit with Mrs. Claus and receive a free photo keepsake in car #6510. And take a train ride in Interurban #64!

Santa’s Mailbox in Prairie Township
WHERE: Prairie Township Community Center, 5955 West Broad St, Galloway, Ohio 43119
WHEN: November 22 – December 20, 2024
HOW: Children who hand deliver their letters to Santa care of his special PTCC mailbox receive a reply from Santa directly from the North Pole. To guarantee delivery, include the child’s full name, complete address with zip code and postage.
Santa’s Mailbox in Powell

Santa’s Mailbox in Upper Arlington

HOW: This mailbox is not affiliated with the city or businesses. A local resident set up and manages the mailbox, enlisting the help of friends to respond to each letter.

Letters to Santa in Hilliard
WHERE: Hilliard’s Station Park Mailbox is at the corner of Main and Center streets and at the Historical Village
WHEN: November 25 – December 18, 2024
HOW: Drop off letters to Santa in the Santa Mailbox. Include a loose stamp (remember Santa needs an address) or a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Macy’s Believe Letters to Santa Campaign
WHERE: Any Macy’s store or online
WHEN: Through Christmas Eve (no return letters provided)
HOW: Bring a stamped letter, addressed to “Santa At The North Pole,” to your local Macy’s store and drop it in the big red letterbox or submit your letter online! For each letter received through Dec. 24, Macy’s will donate $1, up to $1 million, to Make-A-Wish.
USPS Operation Santa
WHAT: This is a different type of letter to Santa. Families in need of some help with Christmas gifts can send a letter to Santa with some gift requests. All personal information is redacted, and generous volunteers adopt the letters to fulfill the gifts. If you send a letter, your name or address will not be known by the gift giver – they will take it to the post office and it will be mailed using a specially coded QR code, so your identity is totally safe.
WHEN: Letters to USPS Operation Santa will be accepted starting September 16 and must be postmarked no later than December 9, 2024.
HOW: If you want to send a letter/gift request, or you want to adopt a letter to fulfill a wish, find more details on the website.
