Get out of the house this weekend for a free fun learning event with the KidsLinked.com’s Columbus STEM & Arts Expo on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Polaris Fashion Place.
The STEM & Arts expo is your families resource fair to find neat things to help grow your children’s education. It includes competitions, resources, products, robotics, math, arts, technology, financial planning and more!
One of the best things about things about this event, is that there are competitions for everyone – and all ages of youth! Whether they are into gaming, sports, academics, creativity, or even just some luck – everyone can compete at something!

STEM & Arts Expo Competitions
Competitions are free to enter, unless otherwise noted. Enter early – most will fill up! Prizes, awards, and more for 1st-3rd each category.
Checkers Tournament (12:30 pm – 1:30 pm – near Macy’s). Standard checkers tournament! Single Elimination. Organized by age 11 and under, 12-17, and adult. Free! LIMIT 100 participants.
LEGO Building Challenge: (1 pm – 2 pm – Saks/Play Court Area). Organized by 11 & Under and 12-18 years old. You have 15 minutes to pick 70 LEGO blocks, then 15 minutes to build something creative. All blocks must be used. You keep what you build! $12 Per Entry. LIMIT 50 participants.
Robot Race (1 pm – 3 pm – Center Court outside of JC Penny’s). Presented by the Coder School. Race a robot through a course to see who can complete it the fastest! Organized by ages 7-11 & 12-17. Robot and all items provided. 1st place winner of each age group receives 1 month of Code School. Free! LIMIT 100 participants.
Paper Airplane Tournament (1 pm – 3 pm – Saks/Play Area Court). Create up to 3 of your favorite paper airplanes designs or pick from those provided. Fly by targeting hoops of different distances. Organized by 6 and under, 7-11 years old, 12-17 years old, and Adult. Free! LIMIT 400 participants.
Math Quiz Bowl Challenge (1:30 pm – 2:45 pm – Main Stage). A fun Jeopardy style math challenge. Organized by grades 4th-7th and 8th-12th. Free! LIMIT 40 participants.
Anime Art Competition (1:45 pm – 2:45 pm – Macy’s Game Area). Learn about the history of Anima art and complete an art challenge to draw any character using Anima style. Art prizes & medals for 1st-3rd in each age group. Organized by 11 & under, and 12-18 years old. LIMIT 60 participants.
Marble Run Maze Tournament (2:15 pm – 3:15 pm – Big Air/Play Court). Create a marble run maze using a kit (provided) to roll your marble through fun obstacles and down the track to the finish. Keep what you build. Prizes for 1st-3rd in each category. Organized by Beginner ($12) 12 & under, BuilderPlus ($20) 15 & under, and Master Builder ($30) 18&under. LIMIT 50 participants.
Carnival Games Tournament – Physics & Fun! ($5 Per Game – Saks / Play Area Court): Pick from 3 different fun carnival games to play tournament style! You will be placed into a bracket for the game you pick to play in this single elimination tournament. All age groups welcome. LIMIT 80 participants.
- Nerf Gun Target Tourney (2:00-2:30PM)
- Rubber Chicken Launcher (2:30 -3PM)
- Duck Hunt Game (3:00-3:30PM)
Candyland Tournament (3 pm – 3:30 pm – Macy’s Area – Lower Level). Simply the most fun board game. Tournament style. Final prizes or bags of candy! Organized by 6 and under, 7-11 years old, 12-17 years old, and Adult. Free! LIMIT 200 participants.
Spelling Bee (3 pm – 5 pm – Main Stage). Organized by grades 1st – 2nd grade / 3rd – 4th grade / 5th-6th grade / 7th-8th grade. Free! LIMIT 140 participants.
UNO Tournament (3:30 pm – 4:15 pm – Big Air/Play Court). Play tournament style UNO. Each game lasts up to 8 minutes. Winners move on to compete for prizes. Organized by 11 & under, and 12-18 years old. LIMIT 100 participants.
Chess Tournament (3:45 pm – 5:15 pm – Cohatch Tables ) Standard chess tournament! Single Elimination. Organized by age 11 and under, 12-17, and adult. Free! LIMIT 48 participants.
Fun Pass! (FREE – Limit 500 – NOON – 4PM) includes the following items:
- Duck Matching game: Match the ducks to win either Fidget toys, squishy toy, video game stickers, or candy bin!
- Mystery Prize Wheel: Spin the prize wheel to win one of 8 different prizes!
- Lollipop Game: Pick various lollipops (Giant Blow Pop, regular Blow Pop, and other fun lollipops) in this fun game!
- Prize Pinball Game: Play 1 ball in a fun pinball game to win prizes.
- Lucky Coin Game: Pick a gold or silver coin from the treasure pot to win a prize.
There will also be crafts, fun activities, concessions and more at the Columbus STEM & Arts Expo.
