Head to Northeast Ohio to ride the rails with the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad with your favorite little train lovers! The CVSR, located in Northeast, Ohio runs through Cuyahoga Valley National Park on 33,000 acres of land from Independence to Akron.
CVSR Runs August Kids Ride Free Special
August is the perfect time to ride because Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is running the ‘Kids Rides Free’ special this August. For every 1 PAID adult National Park Scenic coach ticket purchased, 1 child National Park Scenic coach ticket is free (up to 3 child coach tickets per household).
This special runs Wednesdays through Fridays in August (weekends do not apply), and ends on Friday, August 30. Adult Coach tickets are just $15 for an all day pass. Ticket is valid for one round trip ticket, and passengers seated in coach may de-board the train at various locations and re-board at a later time based on a round trip. The basic excursion leaves from any of the three depots (Rockside, Peninsula Depot and Akron Northside), and is 3 hours round-trip.
The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad offers excursions year round. The train offers an excellent view of the natural scenery and wildlife of the national park and an opportunity to learn about the history of the railroad in valley.
