Catch a the world-traveling outdoor art display “Intrude” at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum in Butler County for a very limited time! “Intrude” is an outdoor art display created by Australian artist, Amanda Parer, features five giant illuminated rabbits with the largest standing at 23 feet tall. It will be on display for the first time in the Midwest from October 6-15, 2017 from noon-10 pm.
General admission from 12 – 7 p.m. is $8 for adults, $3 for children 6 – 12 and free for members. General admission after 7 p.m. is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 – 12 and $5 for members. Purchase tickets here.
A series of themed events will also be held at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum to celebrate the display!
- HAT MAKING WORKSHOPS WITH GINA SCARNATI (see details and dates here) Channel your inner Effie Trinket! The Hollywood costume maker who created the hats for the first Hunger Games film will be teaching hat making workshops for makers of all skill levels. A workshop for children 6 – 12 is free with park admission. Adult (12+) classes will be offered at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
- HIP HOP NIGHT: October 7 from 7-10PM Dance the night away amongst the giant, glowing bunnies! Dance and interact with illuminated works of art, while listening to the tunes of popular Cincinnati-based DJ crew, The Animal Crackers.
- THE HARE SHOW: October 8 from 5-8PM Local stylists will interpret the monumental sculptures of Pyramid Hill in a new medium, hair! The park’s sculpture collection will take to the catwalk during a fashion show taking place amongst the art installation.
- HOPPY HOUR: October 10 from 6-8PM Find a very hoppy happy hour complete with craft beer, a DJ, games, and of course, the bunnies!
- MAD HATTER TEA PARTY: October 13 from 7-9PM (Free with hat making workshop participation) Show off your new crafty creation, or dazzle in a hat from your personal collection at this Mad Hatter themed tea party.

“Intrude” was inspired by Parer’s native country, Australia where rabbits are an invasive species that create environmental issues but also an often celebrated character in children’s fairy tales. Since its creation in 2014, the piece has been seen on four continents by over 1 million people.
