Outdoor Public Pools in Columbus and Central Ohio

Sometimes it’s just too hot to be outside without being in a pool. If you don’t have a friend or family member to visit with a pool, head to one of these public pools in Columbus to cool off.

We’ve gathered a list of public pools in Columbus and Central Ohio that do not require a membership or attendance with a member. You can just walk up and pay to get in.

Don’t forget lots of sunscreen and lots of water to drink – it’s easy to get dehydrated even when you’re in water!

Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Community Pools 

Daily Admission: $1 per session. You need a Leisure Card for Admission. Leisure cards are FREE. Save time – get your Leisure Card in advance at any community center, or apply online.

Hilliard Splash Parks

The Hilliard’s Station Park and Clyde “Butch” Seidle Community Pool splash pads open to the public in mid-May. The CBSCP splash pad will close as a free amenity when the pool opens on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

Both splash pads operate post-pool season through September 30, 2023. 

Zoombezi Bay

The splash pad at Gahanna Swimming Pool is open daily May – October, weather permitting. During the pool season, the Splash Pad is open from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. for free use by the community. During pool open hours, visitors must access the splash pad through the GSP entry gate and pay regular admission or hold a pool membership.

Plain Township Aquatic Center

Once Jonathan Alder Schools begin Fall Session in Mid-August, the Aquatic Center is only open on Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day Monday.    The Splash Pad is open Mon – Fri   only,  for FREE to the public once school is in session in Mid-August, through Labor Day.

Groveport Aquatic Center
