I had the opportunity to check out Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market grocery store on Sawmill Road last night and I was impressed! The store is located between Snouffer Road and Federated Blvd. in the old Border’s store, near Pier One.

It was VERY crowded at the preview night, but I browsed around to check out what they had to offer. In addition to the regular grocery aisles, they have a large produce section, 400 bins of natural and organic bulk items, an in-store butcher shop, full bakery, a prepared meal area featuring salad bar, sandwiches and artisan breads, and a wide selection of wine and local/craft beers. They also had a large number of clearly marked gluten-free items, and a huge vitamin and body care section.

For a store that offers more natural and healthy items, I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were affordable compared to other natural markets. The sales were absolutely fantastic! If the sales are always this good, it’ll be worth making a weekly stop just for the sale items. Some of the sale items for the Grand Opening that will continue through August 20 include:

You don’t have to spend more to get better food. Shop on Double Ad Wednesdays, when last week’s deals and next week’s deals both overlap on the same day, so you get double the savings. Looks like Wednesday will be the most popular shopping day at Fresh Thyme!
Don’t forget, the Grand Opening is tomorrow, Wednesday, August 13, beginning at 6:45 a.m. (yes, a.m.) with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. The first 250 customers in line will receive a special-edition Dublin reusable bag filled with over $50 worth of healthy groceries. Get there early to reserve your space in line. The party continues with food samplings, face painting, kid’s activities, giveaways and more.
