Facebook Small Business Grants Program is now accepting applications to award cash grants and ad credits to qualifying small business in and around Columbus and Franklin County.
Up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in more than 30 countries will be able to receive the grant totaling $100M. The grants are being distributed near locations where Facebook operates. With the data center in New Albany, businesses within 64 zip codes in and around Columbus and Franklin County are eligible to apply. The application process is open from April 22 – May 8, 2020.
The grants are intended to help keep businesses afloat, which includes operational costs, rent, payroll, and connecting with customers. Recipients will receive a $4000 grant ($2500 cash, $1500 in optional ads credits).
Facebook Small Business Grants Program Eligibility
- Be a for-profit company
- Have between 2 and 50 employees
- Has been in business for over a year
- Has experienced challenges from COVID-19
- Be in or near a location where Facebook operates (New Albany in Ohio) (check eligible zip codes)
Documentations need for application
- Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN)
- Partnership documents
- Business license
- Proof of incorporation
- Official registration
To apply, verify that your business complies with the eligibility requirements and that you are able to provide the documentation. Then,
- Visit the Facebook Small Business Grants Program.
- Click on the button “See Eligible Areas and Apply”
- For business location, choose United States, and then “New Albany, OH/Franklin County” (note, you do not have to be located in New Albany; see eligible zip codes)
- Click “Continue to Partner Site” which is administered by Ureeka
- Register in the top right corner
- Apply!
The deadline is May 8 2020 11:59 PM (EDT). After the deadline, they will review the applications over a few weeks before they select finalists and announce the grant recipients.
