All funds raised benefit Canine Companions for Independence ® and our mission of matching assistance dogs with children, adults and veterans with disabilities, free of charge.

We’ve made DogFest North Central an interactive event where you can participate from home and on social media through our Facebook event page. Participate in a variety of ways:

• Register and fundraise to support the mission of Canine Companions for Independence.
• Join the event on Facebook. Participate in fun activities leading up to DogFest North Central and connect with other event participants.
• Help spread awareness for the cause, by sharing a picture on social media of how your dog brings you joy with this downloadable sign.

What is DogFest?

DogFest is coming to a community near you, so grab your leash and get ready to have a tail-wagging good time!

Canine Companions® DogFest is a national family- and dog-friendly event. We celebrate our love of dogs and the bonds we share, while raising money and encouraging volunteers to support the mission and educate the public about our life-changing work of providing expertly trained service dogs to people with disabilities free of charge.

Before the event

• Find a DogFest near you and register – it’s easy and free to participate!
• Become a "Top Dog" (team captain) and put together a team of friends and coworkers.
• Fundraise prior to the event, and then celebrate our four-legged friends at DogFest.
• Learn more about Canine Companions for Independence and how these exceptional dogs serve exceptional people.

Canine Companions is excited to be building a new state-of-the-art campus for the North Central Region. This new campus is being built on over 16 acres and will have over 54,000 sq/ft of indoor space in New Albany, Ohio. This new campus will help Canine Companions and our mission by allowing us to serve more people with disabilities than ever before! Canine Companions broke ground on the new campus in April of 2019. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2020.
