Free Concerts at Columbus Commons through the Summer

Free concerts are in full swing at Columbus Commons this summer, so grab your dancing shoes and head to the Commons with friends for some outdoor music.

Bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs, but leave the coolers at home – drinks and food are available for purchase.

FREE NAVIGATORS CONCERT

Friday, May 24, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
A group comprised of Columbus executives and professionals playing high-energy rock tunes from the 1960s to today. Since their formation in 2002, they have helped to raise more than $500,000 to help local and national charities such as the City Year Columbus, United Way, Salvation Army, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Hilltop YMCA, the American Red Cross, A Kid Again and more.

Tickets are not required. Food trucks and bar will kick things off at 5:30 p.m. 

FREE Common Grounds Concert: Sugar Ray, Tonic and Lit

Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 5 pm

Both ticket releases are on a first come, first-served basis and we expect that they will be claimed quickly.

Gates open at Rich Street entrance ONLY at 5 pm. Food trucks and bars will open. Music starts at 7 pm. 

A Song Remains (A Night of LED Zeppelin) + The Dead Revival Band (Grateful Dead Tribute) 

Friday, August 30, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

Relive two legendary groups listening to epic chart topping hits and plenty of guitar solos. The Dead Revival Band will kick things off with Grateful Dead tribute, followed by The Song Remains: A Night of Led Zeppelin.

FREE LOCAL + LIVE CONCERTS

Thursdays in August
Thursday nights at the Commons provide a perfect kick-off to the weekend. Beverage and food vendors open at 5:30 p.m., with music at 7:30 p.m.

New for 2024! Beers and Board Games  will be leading table top games from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

• August 1: Joe Peppercorn (Beatles tribure) and Fleetwood Gold + East High School Marching Band  
• August 8: Leading Ladies with Lily Bloom Band and Angela Perley  
• August 15: Saylor Twift (Taylor Swift live-band tribute) + Go Big, Go Broadway: Enchanted Evening Edition 
• August 22: The Worn Flints + Zoo Trippin’, shop at the vendor market  
• August 29: Columbus Soul Review + T. Wong and Mojoflo 

No tickets needed. Bring lawn chairs and blankets; alcohol is not permitted.

Picnic with the Pops – pack a picnic and enjoy these concerts with top artists and tribute bands playing along with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra

Popcorn Pops – The Columbus Symphony helps introduce kids to all kinds of music at Popcorn Pops. These shows are perfect for families with children ages 3 – 12.

Concerts feature free popcorn and pre-concert activities such as face painting, art projects, musical instruments and the Columbus Commons Family Fun Zone with inflatables and open play activities.

SUMMER614 Concert – Saturday, June 1, 2024. Brought to you by FAME Productions, SUMMER614 brings some of your favorite R&B and Hip Hop artists from yesterday and today. Featuring Scarface w/ live band, MC Lyte, Ro James, 8Ball & MJG, Bobby V, and Chrisette Michelle.

SUMMER614 FUNK Fest – Saturday, August 10, 2024. Brought to you by FAME Productions, SUMMER614 brings some of your favorite Funk groups to Columbus Commons. Featuring Morris Day, ZAPP & Friends, and Con Funk Shun.
