Are you ready to party like it’s 1399? Days of Knights is coming on October 5-6, 2024 to Lancaster, Ohio – less than 40 minutes from Columbus!
Travel back in time and experience the Middle Ages during one of the largest medieval-focused living history events in the country.
Days of Knights is not a renaissance fair. It’s a chance for the public to experience historically accurate re-enactments of knights, Vikings, crusaders and more from the Middle Ages.
Walk through a timeline encampment featuring living history enthusiasts re-creating the Norman invaders of Britain in 1066. Find crusaders from the 1200s, archers and knights from the 100 Years War, and many others.
Reenactors will be camped along the timeline in chronological order so visitors can experience technological developments and cultural changes as they occurred.
Historical accuracy is stressed, and the reenactors are well versed in their periods of study.
Attendees will see and touch arms & armor, archery, reproductions of medieval pottery, furniture & clothing. Learn about medieval foodways, the roles of women & religion in society, crafting and daily life. Arrive as millennials (or Gen X, Y, Boomers, or whatever), and leave as medievals.
Attending Days of Knights
Days of Knights is Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6, 2024, from 10 am – 4 pm at Charles Alley Nature Park in Lancaster.
There are NO admission fees – the event is free to the public! Guest should not dress in costumes to avoid confusion between guests and actors.
Stop and visit with the historical interpreters who will explain their ‘impressions’ and the material culture found in their camps. Many allow visitors to handle objects, try on armor, and experience the Middle Ages for themselves (please be polite and ask first).
In addition to the individual camps, educational presentations and demonstrations will be taking place throughout the day.
