Green Lawn Cemetery is again hosting a vibrant celebration of Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead festival in Columbus on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10 am – 6 pm.
This Mexican holiday honors loved ones who have passed, blending traditional elements such as ofrendas (altars), decorated with flowers, candles, and mementos, with community activities.
The event at Green Lawn Cemetery will feature live music, a parade with Aztec dancers, cultural performances, family-friendly activities, and food vendors.
Attendees are encouraged to bring offerings for the altars, helping create a shared space of remembrance and celebration. This event is a great opportunity to learn about how Latin American cultures celebrate the lives of passed loved ones
The event is free and open to the public. For more details and event information, visit the event page on Facebook.
Green Lawn Cemetery Association offers a wide variety of both on-going and seasonal events.
