Winter Park opens this weekend! Get out and enjoy the cool crisp air in February with Columbus Blue Jackets Winter Park presented by Worthington Industries at McFerson Commons, located across the street from Nationwide Arena, from Friday, February 2 through Sunday, February 25, 2018.
The main attraction of Winter Park will be the NHL-sized ice rink that will be open for public skating, hockey and a variety of community events. The Winter Park’s outdoor rink will be equipped with bleacher seating for approximately 250 people, a skate rental tent and four heated locker rooms. Admission to skate will be $5 for kids and $10 for adults, and includes skate rental. See complete schedule of public sessions.
Watch the Columbus Blue Jackets practice! In advance of the official opening, the Blue Jackets are scheduled to hold a brief team practice at the outdoor rink on Wednesday, January 31 at noon. The practice will be open to the public and free of charge.
The opening weekend of Winter Park festivities will also include The 5th Line 5K Race presented by OhioHealth on Sunday, February 4. The 3.1-mile road race that starts and finishes on center ice in Nationwide Arena, and is open to runners and walkers. Registration includes 2 tickets to select Blue Jackets games, finishers medal, long sleeve race t-shirt. This race always sells out, so register as soon as possible!
