Cinemark is making National Popcorn Day more budget friendly for movie lovers. On Jan. 19, the movie theater is celebrating in multiple ways!

BYOB: Bring Your Own Bucket

On January 19, bring a bucket or vessel of your choice to fill with popcorn. They’ll fill it for $5 (no refills)! Size matters (a little). They’ll fill anything up to 400 oz, which is equal to about two extra-large Cinemark popcorn tubs.

Gift Card Discounts

On National Popcorn Day, all Cinemark gift card sales will be 10% off as part of our celebration. This is an online-only offer.

Win a Large Popcorn

Finally, on January 19, follow Cinemark on Instagram or X, then tag three friends in the comments or a tweet for a chance to win a free large popcorn.

The Goonies 40th Anniversary

January 19 and 20, 2025

Steven Spielberg, Richard Donner (Lethal Weapon films) and Chris Columbus (Harry Potter films) collaborate to create an epic children’s adventure of subterranean caverns, sunken galleons and a fortune in lost pirate treasure waiting to be found by a group of friends known as the Goonies.

With brothers Mikey (Sean Astin) and Brand’s (Josh Brolin) house slated for demolition by greedy land developers, the boys decide their only hope lies in finding a long-lost treasure. They uncover a treasure map and with their friends descend to a subterranean sea and an abandoned galleon in this fun-filled, fast-paced adventure.
