Christmas in Obetz: Tree lighting, Santa, Holiday lights, and more

Obetz has plenty of Christmastime fun going on this year. From the tree lighting, pictures with Santa, and light displays – there’s seasonal activities going on through the month. 

Christmas Kickoff in Obetz

The season kicks off in Obetz on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 4:30 pm – 9 pm in Junction Park with the Tree lighting ceremony at 6:00 pm. Santa will be there for photos, and there will be hot chocolate and cookies to enjoy. Ice skating may be available; weather depending. 

Santa’s parade begins at 5 pm. As soon as the parade concludes, the Obetz Christmas tree will be lit. Families can take photos of Santa, and enjoy the other holiday festivities, including; 

• Rock on Ice – A unique experience with ice sculptures and live carving demonstrations.
• Character Meet and Greet – Get a photo with some of your favorite holiday characters!
• Ice Skating – Lace up your skates and enjoy a few laps on the ice rink (weather permitting).
• Letters to Santa – Little ones can write and send their Christmas wishes directly to the North Pole.
• Reindeer Food Making & Ornament Making – Get creative with seasonal crafts that kids can take home.
• Photo Opportunities and Concessions – Capture memories at photo stations around the park and enjoy seasonal treats.
• Kinfolk Coffeehouse – Sip on warm beverages provided by local favorite Kinfolk Coffeehouse.

Light Display in Downtown Obetz

Beginning of December and will remain up through the holidays

Visit Lancaster Park and Veterans Park to enjoy the lighted Christmas figures and other decorations on display through the holidays.

Historic Church Light Display

The historic church will have its holiday lights on full display starting in December and staying up through the holidays.
