Christmas for the dogs and pet photos with Santa

Who doesn’t love dressing their pets up in an adorable Christmas outfit. Whether it’s a kitty with a elf hat, a boxer with reindeer ears, a hamster in a santa hat, a pretty pittie in a holiday sweater, or a lizard with some jingle bells, pet photos with Santa are ADORABLE. 

Even if your pet tries to chew off a festive holiday bandana (like my pugador) and has to go naked…. Santa pics are a holiday must-have for obsessive pet parents.

There are plenty of places around Columbus where you can get pet or dog photos with Santa. Not only will you get adorable pictures of your pup, cat or other type of pet, but in most cases, the fees support local animal charities!

If you have kids, they can usually join in the photos as well (and may make your pet feel more comfortable with the big man in red). Or have the whole family get in the photo and use it for your Christmas card!

Verify links to ensure the event is still scheduled. Check to see if registration is required. Some only allow one pet family in the area at a time to avoid conflict. 

Some locations may only allow certain species of pets. Check before you go!

ONLY well-behaved, non-aggressive, and vaccinated pets should be taken to public events like pet photos with Santa.

If your pet seems skittish, please don’t make him or her sit on Santa’s laps lap. Either hold your pet in the photo, or have them on the floor in front of Santa if that’s possible. It’s not worth the stress on your animal for you to get a cute photo, and can be a safety issue for all involved.
