Cherry Valley Hotel & Ohio Event Center in Newark, Ohio underwent $20 million in renovations starting in 2019, and offers plenty of reason to visit.

Autumn Lights and Igloos for Fall

Enjoy the fantastical light display featuring the warm glow of autumn lights in the Cherry Valley Hotel Courtyard from October 4 – November 27, 2024.

Visitors can stroll around the path and marvel at red, yellow, and orange lights highlighting the signature botanical gardens with their spectacular ponds, waterfalls, and gazebo. In addition, guests can dine at Craftsman Kitchen & Terrace where they can view the lights while enjoying a chef crafted meal. Reservations are recommended.

Thanksgiving Buffet at Cherry Valley Hotel on Thanksgiving Day from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Indulge in a feast featuring carving stations of succulent holiday turkey and ham. Winter Igloo Dining

November 29, 2024 – February 28, 2025

Guests can reserve one of four heated igloos, styled with comfortable seating, blankets to snuggle under and ambient lighting. The backdrop for these igloos will be Cherry Valley Hotel’s signature botanical gardens with its already spectacular ponds, waterfalls, and lights.

The igloos feature a dazzling winter-themed prix-fixe menu specialty curated by the Cherry Valley Hotel culinary team. The menu includes a three-course meal with a choice of a sharable, entrée, sides, and dessert. There is a winter cocktail menu to enhance the dining experience. 

Pricing begins at $65 per person with the option to add cocktails and other spirits.

Now open Wednesdays-Saturdays, and although reservations are not required, they are recommended. The Craftsman Kitchen & Terrace is a stylish eatery with excellent customer care featuring a new American menu highlighting Ohio-raised all beef burgers, hand-made brick oven pizzas and fresh pasta.

Cocktails at The Craftsman are classically inspired with a stately twist and feature a Blueberry Mule and The Craftsman Old Fashion.

The indoor atmosphere is intimate and stylish with comfortable seating and large windows overlooking the gardens. Guests can enjoy The Craftsman’s unique outdoor terrace during the warmer months with views of the beautiful landscaping, ponds and waterfalls.

Weekend Breakfast Buffet

Cherry Valley Hotel offers a weekend breakfast buffet. Guests can enjoy a full, self-serve, hot breakfast buffet inside in The Craftsman Kitchen & Terrace, on our outdoor patio overlooking the gardens or to-go back to their rooms. Cost: $15.00/person

Luxury Picnics at Cherry Valley Hotel

Enjoy an elevated picnic experience complete with extravagant décor, delectable food, and luxury touches.

The picnic package includes a grazing board, with cured meats and cheeses, around a low hand made table, pillows, and boho style decor with a canvas Moroccan tent.

This refined picnic experience accommodates anywhere from two to 6 people perfect for a date night, proposal, birthday, or small celebration for 90 minutes Fridays and Saturdays. Available through Sept 29.

Pricing ranges from $65 to $75 per person based on the number of people with the option to add cocktails and other spirits. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options are also available. Reserve online.

Winter Music Series

Thursdays through March, 6:30pm-8:30pm.
The winter music series will take place in The CK Pub. Neighbors and hotel guests are invited to enjoy local cover bands. No reservation necessary.

Summer Music Series

TBA 2024. The Summer Music in the Garden Series will feature a diverse range of musical genres, including rock, pop, and country.

Concerts will take place in the beautiful botanical garden from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The public, as well as guests, can enjoy the music, along with a new Craftsman Kitchen & Terrace outdoor bar and patio menu designed to make their experience even more enjoyable.

Winter Glow Experience

Beginning November 24, 2023, enjoy the fantastical light display featuring a cool radiance of colors in the Cherry Valley Hotel Courtyard. The Winter Glow display will take place nightly from dusk until 9:00 pm through mid-March.

Guests can stroll the path and enjoy the frosty spotlights illuminating the botanical gardens while the colors of icy blue and warm white on the trees and gazebo sparkle in the reflection of the ponds and waterfalls.

Make plans to relax and spend time with loved ones at Craftsman Kitchen & Terrace, where they can view the lights while enjoying a chef-crafted meal. Guests can also visit The CK Pub for a drink before their stroll.
