Carrie’s Café is a unique dining center that offers a variety delicious and affordable menu items ranging from homemade soups and fresh salads to delicious desserts as a part of LifeCare Alliance.
The Cafe serves lunch Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is located south of Broad Street near downtown Columbus. Customers aged 60 and over may purchase the Hot Meal of the Day for a $1.50 suggested contribution. No one over the age of 60 is turned away for inability to pay
There are many other Senior Dining Centers in Franklin and surrounding counties serving hot meals for a suggested donation of $1.50, and door to door transportation is available for a small suggested donation to many of the centers. These make great outings for seniors for hot meals and companionship.
In addition, the Carrie’s Cafe offers senior programming such as chair yoga, tai chi, Wii, line dancing and exercise classes, wireless computer access, and an exercise area.
Programming is offered from 10 am – 2 pm, Monday – Friday, and transportation may be available to those who qualify. Call Carrie’s Café for more information.
