Capital University Music Technology Gear Swap

The Music Technology Department at Capital University is hosting the 3rd Annual Gear Swap on November 5, 2022 from 10 am – 3 pm

Bring your stuff to sell and trade. Or just browse for that new piece that you’ve been missing!. Items include: studio equipment, instruments, computer hardware, vinyl and music stuff, and live sound gear.

There will even be a pop-up vinyl record store!

Capital University Creative Arts Workshop

Capital University’s 11th annual Creative Arts Workshop is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 9 am – 4 pm.

This program is open to all. Details about the 2023 event are to be announced…

This is a day where the Music Technology department will be firing on all cylinders. Area media professionals and currents students will host various workshops and presentations on all things audio, video and other creative arts productions.

Creative Arts Workshop

Throughout the day, you can also learn from professionals, current Capital students and faculty, and community members who will discuss topics such as:

• Microphone Techniques
• Live Sound Studio Tracking and Mixing
• Video Game Audio
• Electronic Music Production
• Network Audio
• Keyboards, Synth, and Pedals.

The lobby will feature pop-up record store, RareBuzz Guitar Effects, cool demo gear from MusicMax and McFadden Sales, and more!

There will also be tons of giveaways.

The event is free and open to all ages! Registration details tba for 2023

Welcome at 9:30 a.m.
Workshops from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
