Festivals and fun at Boardman Arts Park

The Boardman Arts Park in Delaware, Ohio began in 2017 as a volunteer organized effort to reclaim an unused green space.   

The 2.2 acre green space is filled with unique art pieces, walking paths, and benches. Annual events are held including the Delaware Vintage & Artisan Festival, Beer & Wine Festival, CREATE! Event and Ghost Walk; as well as art and yoga classes, concerts and socials.

Imagination Space

Features fun and whimsical exhibits, such as Musical Waterfall, Interactive Unicorn (Ernest Nkwocha Ogbonna), The A-Mazing Garden (Kris Prengaman), and more. 

Delaware Plant Library

The Delaware Plant Library is a volunteer ran organization where the Delaware community can exchange plants of all kinds. Leave a plant, take a plant and share the love of indoor and outdoor gardening with your Delaware friends and neighbors!

Community Art

Find the colorful gnome homes scattered around the Harry Potter crafted by our community artists and donors. You’ll also find colorful painted rocks in the rock garden. 

Little Lending Library

Find the lending library under the Harry Potter tree! Take a book. Leave a book. It’s that simple to enjoy our new lending library at the Park within the gnome village under our Harry Potter tree.

May Day Celebration

May 1, 2024 from 12 pm – 1 pm

Join the annual May Day Celebration! Woodward 3rd graders will be performing the May Pole dance for all to enjoy. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the dance celebration. 

Free popcorn will be available and the Ciao Cafe gelato cart will be available for purchase. See more details as they are released.

May Madness – Come and enjoy a zany kickoff to Summer!

Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 11 am – 6 pm

Kick off the summer with margaritas, music, and mania! May Madness will have fun activities including: taco trucks, island music, artist booths, water slides, fair food, summer beers, zany races, and sand sculptures!

This family-friendly event has something for everyone. 

Tickets will be sold at the door the day of the event; $5 Adults $2 Children (12 & under). Admission for the event will only accept Cash, Venmo or PayPal transactions. All proceeds benefit the development of Boardman Arts Park, a 501(c)3 non profit organization.

Bring a picnic blanket or chair and enjoy a variety of music at the Park!

Beer & Wine Festival

July 13, 2024 from 3 pm – 8 pm

Enjoy beer & wine vendors, food trucks, live music, a great art show and other entertainment!

This is a fundraising event for the Park. Proceeds will be used to continue to bring programming and art to the space.

CREATE! A community art making event

August 24, 2024 from 12 pm – 4 pm

Enjoy a unique experience where the community is invited to collaborate on and create several art projects led by skilled instructors that will live on at the Park!

This is a family focused event and will be free for all.

Delaware Music Festival

Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 11 am to 8 pm

The Festival will feature 5 local bands, food trucks and a drinks truck, including beer, wine and mixed drinks. The event is for all ages.

Pre-event tickets for all-day access to the Festival are now on sale for $8. Click here to order tickets. Tickets will be $10 day of show. Children 15 and under are free.

Buckitty Buckets will be at the Park with his interactive percussion show for all ages. Local food trucks will include: Bruiser’s BBQ Backstretch Bar and Grill Aunt Di’s Kitchen Ciao Café. The rain date will be Sunday September 8.

ResiFest! 

September 22, 2024 from 10 am – 6 pm

This festival celebrates the resilience found through community and the arts, with two stages featuring music and speakers/spoken word, along with vendors, food trucks, artists, mental health resources, and a kids’ zone. Learn more by visiting ResiFest.com

Ghost Walk & Concert

October 5, 2024 from 5 pm – 9 pm

Venture into some of the most haunted streets in Delaware’s Northwest Neighborhood. On your tour hear actual ghost accounts from residents where the spirits reside. Walk includes a tour of Delaware’s Victorian Jail. Check back for details!
