Advent calendars are one of my kids’ favorite Christmas traditions. We’ve done a variety of options over the years, including legos, puzzles, crafts, and toys. We also have reusable cloth option with pockets where I can add things for each day (candy, lip balm, planned activity, etc).
So yes, we go a little over board with Advent calendars.
If you’re looking for just an inexpensive chocolate variety, get yourself to Trader Joe’s soon – they have cute and simple chocolate advent calendars for $1.29 each. They are so affordable, you can get one for yourself!
You could even make a simple one, like the one below!
